Autism Assessments for teens and adults
At our clinic, we provide comprehensive, evidence-based autism assessments for teens and adults seeking clarity, validation, and practical next steps. Whether you’ve always felt different, experience challenges with social communication, sensory sensitivities, or are exploring a late diagnosis, our thorough evaluation process is designed to understand your unique strengths and needs. We take a neurodiversity-affirming approach in a supportive and respectful environment, offering clear feedback and a detailed written report that can be used for school, university, or workplace accommodations. Our goal is not just a diagnosis, but meaningful insight—helping you build self-understanding, confidence, and direction moving forward.
What is involved in Autism Assessment
-
Our Autism Assessment diagnostic process follows NICE guidelines and is completed by a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) of two clinicians, including a Clinical Psychologist, to ensure a thorough and robust evaluation.
-
The process begins with the completion of screening questionnaires, followed by a face-to-face ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) assessment with you.
-
We then conduct an ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised) with an informant—such as a parent, partner, or someone who knows you well and, where possible, knew you in childhood—to gather a detailed developmental history.
-
Once all components are completed, your case is discussed in an MDT diagnostic meeting, where clinical findings are carefully reviewed before a final diagnostic decision is made.
-
You will then receive clear verbal feedback, a comprehensive written report, and personalised recommendations for support and accommodations.
